The process of hiring employees can be daunting and fraught with peril. At our firm, we analyze the company, the scope of the business, and the jobs for which employees are hired to determine what specific information can be lawfully sought about employees. We always advise clients that they are not permitted to make any hiring decision on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation or identity, religion, national origin, age, and disability status. Beyond those class protections, we also advise clients on what information can be used in the hiring process.
