What is the benefit of forming an LLC or an S-Corp?

An LLC may be made up of a single member which may or may not be an S Corp and vise versa, and the effects of such a structure would depend on the nature of the business.  One usually sets up an LLC for his or her company or incorporates his or her corporation for the purpose of providing separation between business activities and his or her own personal activities.  This will also provide certain protections from liability that may fall upon the business for actions taken by or for the business.  Should you seek advice on corporate formation, see the attorneys at Miller, Butler, Schneider, Pawlik, & Rozzell, PLLC, for advice.
