We are proud to welcome our two new law clerks, Kaitlin LaBuda and Melanie Johnson, on their summer internship with our firm. We take great pride in offering law students an opportunity to work with the attorneys and staff in our firm on their break and are fortunate to have two outstanding students as part of our team.
Melanie Johnson is originally from Atlanta, Georgia but spent most of her childhood in Tampa, Florida. She completed her undergraduate degree at Elon University in North Carolina where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She just completed her first year of law school at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law where she was recognized for her academic achievement by being named to the Dean’s List. She also was one of two award winners during her first year from her research and writing class for best oralist. She has a strong interest in the growing field of animal law.
Kaitlin LaBuda is also originally from Florida having grown up in Saint Petersburg. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida obtaining a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. While at Florida she worked with the University Athletic Association doing football recruiting and giving campus tours. She just completed her first year of law school where she also was recognized for outstanding acadamic acheivement by being named to the Dean’s List. She intends to pursue a law degree with a focus on litigation and estate planning.
Both Melanie and Kaitlin will be working with all ten of our attorneys assisting in research, writing and investigation of cases. We are extremely proud to have Kaitlin and Melanie and look forward to working with them.
