Immigration Law
Immigration Law is probably the broadest and most difficult area of law to understand because it is constantly evolving. When most people think of immigration, they probably think about illegal aliens trying to get a green card, but immigration is much broader than that. Immigration can include foreigners coming to the U.S. for work, school, leisure, or most commonly, uniting with family members. There are multiple avenues a particular individual can take to lawfully live and work in the United States but it requires a detailed application process and knowing exactly what the individual does and does not qualify for. Miller Butler has particular experience:
- Citizenship
- Naturalization
- Green Card
- Student Visas, F and J
- Work Visas, H and E
- Work Permit
- Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
- Legal Name Chang
- Deportation
- Asylum
- Temporary Protected Status
- Unlawful Presence Waiver
- Defending Crimes of Moral Turpitude
